As a Local Authority Councillor, Rob has witnessed on numerous occasions the breakdown of communications between planning applicants, Councillors and the Local Planning Authority. This all too often leads to costly delays in achieving planning permission and gives rise to the prospect of appeal with the associated financial implications.

Rob offers, through Mediation in Planning, a nationwide service to help prevent these situations from arising*. Using his experience he can assist developers to overcome the problems caused when faced with the political log jams that so often arise.

Major planning PR companies offer a range of services but Rob has shown a unique ability to communicate effectively, provide the personal touch and understand the problems of all parties involved with a planning application.

Rob has a wealth of experience in Local Government determination of planning applications. He has been on the planning committee of Cheltenham Borough Council since 1996 (Chairman for 4 years) and has been on the County Council Planning Committee since 2001. Rob is still serving on both Committees.
